Waterloo Accelerator Centre Project

In September, Westmount Signs partnered with Waterloo's Accelerator Centre to commemorate their most successful graduates. The Acceletor Centre is a world-class high tech incubator that has produced over 120 successful entrepreneurs since its founding in 2006. This year the Accelerator Centre approached Westmount Signs and asked us to create a notable and attractive commemorative graduate wall. About the Accelerator Centre

The Waterloo Accelerator Centre is a nonprofit corporation headquartered at the David Johnston Research + Technology Park in Waterloo, Ontario. Its goal is to, "accelerate the creation, growth, and scale-up of globally competitive and sustainable new technology companies," as well as to, "promote the commercialization of research and technology emerging from academic institutions, helping these entrepreneurs to develop viable and robust firms." The Accelerator Centre has created internationally recognized education and mentorship programs for start up tech companies to help them succeed. Their programs provide:

• Education
• Facilitated investment opportunities
• Networking
• R&D support
• Talent recruitment
• Technology transfer and commercialization knowledge

The Accelerator Centre currently has over 41 client companies and has helped benefit over 120 early-stage companies in the Waterloo Region.

What We Did for Them

The Accelerator Centre asked us to create an innovative, visually appealing and relevant commemorative piece to represent some of the most successful graduates of their program. Using our rigorous and thorough design process that effectively incorporates our client's vision and our years of expertise, we came up with the perfect solution: a wall of fame. Obviously, the Accelerator Centre focuses on tech start up companies, which meant that we had to create something modern, innovative, and technical.
