TYPES OF INDIVIDUAL CUT LETTERS
NON LIT
Non-lit letters are standard letter graphics that are inexpensive yet still effective. They are easily customizable and available in a wide variety of colours, fonts, and sizes. Though they may not be as impactful as illuminated channel letters, they are available at a fraction of the cost.
FRONT LIT
These are the most commonly used channel letters, especially in retail malls and outdoor shopping centres. They typically have white material on the inside and a different chosen colour on the outside. Front-lit letters are illuminated internally by LED modules behind a translucent acrylic face mounted on the front of the letter. This style is excellent for catching the eye of passers-by at night.
HALO LIT
Also known as reverse-lit channel letters, these are used when a more refined, elegant look is desired. They are mounted with a gap between the back of the letter and the wall, allowing the light to reflect off the wall and create a glowing halo effect.
FRONT AND BACK LIT
This style uses both halo and front lighting techniques to illuminate both the face and the rear edge of the letters. It is often chosen when two lighting colours or effects are desired simultaneously.
